Casa Paz

New build

This newly built home is nestled into a hillside in the Castilian countryside, blending naturally into the surrounding landscape.
It is composed of three volumes that follow the site’s topography, creating a dynamic interplay of perspectives, light, and shadow.

The main design principle was to establish a strong connection with the outdoors — the cereal fields and sunsets. To reinforce this relationship, local sandstone was used for the external cladding, with its reddish and golden hues echoing the tones of the surrounding earth and countryside.

Inside, large elongated windows frame the landscape like paintings, establishing a constant dialogue between the living spaces and the natural surroundings.
The three volumes interlace and dissolve into open-plan, multipurpose spaces, designed to adapt to various uses and moments throughout the day.
